Koskinou Village Tour – A Journey into Tradition with the Tourist Train Discover the traditional village of Koskinou, one of the most picturesque destinations of Rhodes, through a unique excursion with our tourist train! A journey that takes you into a world full of colors, history, and authentic Rhodian hospitality. As the train climbs the hills, breathtaking views of the eastern coastline unfold before your eyes. Upon arrival, the first sight of the village, with its colorful houses, painted doors, and narrow cobbled streets, feels like stepping into a postcard from another era. The Magic of the Village The tour begins at the central square, the heart of the village, where the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary (1830) stands proudly, showcasing its historic 19th-century architecture. From there, we wander through narrow alleys filled with colors and aromas, leading us to the village’s gem — the Traditional House of Koskinou. The Traditional House – A Living Museum Step inside and travel back in time! Built in 1902, this preserved mansion showcases the life of the locals from centuries ago. It is adorned with handwoven textiles, decorative ceramic plates, and the famous black-and-white pebble mosaic floor (“hohlaki”), a distinctive feature of Rhodian architecture. Coffee & Relaxation Stop The tour ends with 30 minutes of free time in the village square, where you can relax under the shade of the trees, enjoy a coffee, a cold beer, or a local sweet at one of the traditional cafés. An Unforgettable Journey Full of Images and Emotions The excursion lasts 1.5 hours, blending beauty, history, and authentic hospitality — a journey that leaves every visitor with unforgettable memories.
